Andy is a Principal Trainer and Consultant of Right Impact. Being a dynamic and eloquent corporate trainer, Andy has been designing and delivering corporate training programmes for a decade. His key competencies are in team development, communication skills, conflict management, public speaking and employee engagement.

As a trainer and consultant, Andy has conducted more than 600 corporate learning programmes with major clients from a myriad of industries in both government and private sectors such as Manulife, YUM! Brands, The Body Shop, Singapore Management University, Legg Mason Global Asset Management, OCBC, Singtel, A.S. Watsons, Hotel Intercontinental, Republic of Singapore Air Force, National Healthcare Group, Changi General Hospital etc.

Andy was in the team of trainers who trained over 1000 volunteer leaders from the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) in volunteer and people management skills.

Being a humourous and thought-provoking public speaker, Andy is highly sought after by several of his clients and also possesses extensive cross-border experience, having trained and/or spoken in Amsterdam, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau, Vancouver, Assisi, Malaysia and Indonesia with all levels of organisations.

In 2007, Andy was involved in the conduct of a series of successful teambuilding programmes for all staff members of Singapore Power and Shangri-La Hotel, which were designed to foster a team culture within the respective organisations.

In 2013, Andy was heavily involved in the design and delivery of various team-based/facilitation programmes, like Our Singapore Conversation, and with luminaries such as the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and other members of the Cabinet Office. 

Andy is a fully qualified and accredited administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), and is also an experienced and certified practitioner of the DiSC profiling system, as he seeks to help his clients discover more about themselves and their teams.

He is certified in the use of Emergenetics – a modern profiling instrument that helps determine our thinking and behavioural preferences. Andy is the highest participant-rated Emergenetics trainer in Asia-Pacific for 2014, as conferred by Emergenetics International.

He was also recently nominated as one of two Asian speakers at the Emergenetics Brain Summit 2015, held in Assisi, Italy. In 2016, Andy was invited by Emergenetics International to speak at their inaugural Asia-Pacific Symposium. Then in the following year, he was invited yet again to speak at the Emergenetics Brain Summit 2017, held in Vancouver.

Andy is also a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and he uses proven NLP techniques primarily in the domain of personal development and public speaking. 

Andy has been a guest speaker on The Breakfast Club on 93.8LIVE and a regular contributor to The Straits Times Recruit and The New Paper. In 2016, he was invited to chair the Employee Engagement & Experience Congress organised by HRM Asia. In the following year, he hosted the annual HR Summit on its 15th anniversary – Asia’s largest workforce management event. Andy also chaired the 2nd Annual CHRO Series Congress and the HR Transformation 4.0 Conference 2017.

In addition, Andy is the author of Unleash The Public Speaker In You!, a published self-penned book that aims to transform anyone into a competent public speaker using NLP; and Happy Companies, Healthy Profits, his latest book, that espouses the use of practical positive psychology strategies to improve an organisation’s productivity from a people development perspective.

Academically, Andy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Positive Psychology, the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) (Full), as awarded by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) of Singapore, and an active status as a Practising Management Consultant (PMC) with the Singapore Business Advisors & Consultants Council (SBACC).
